We took the special offer lunch on Friday, no trouble booking and very helpful staff. In the end, the four of us decided to just go with the 2 course set menu for £9.50. Excellent bread and tapenade justified the £1.50 cover charge. Duck liver parfait with toasted brioche and cherry compote was just right; smooth and delicately flavoured. My duck leg confit also burst with flavour and washed down with an excellent Mud Fish Australian red. Pros; Good food, excellent value, friendly and helpful staff. Cons; Noisy with the terrace windows open onto a busy street, a number of wines on the list not available. I would definately go again for the set menu lunch - quite outstanding value for this part of town. If only it wasn't for the wine.......!!
