The Medieval Banquet

I took a friend of mine to the Medieval Banquet this week. We were both quite disappointed with the food, especially the drinks available(or lack thereof) , which lacked variety. The soup tasted unsavoury, and well to be truthful food wise it was a really lacklustre, meagre affair. Entertainment was ok, but it pretty much took over the evening and it was a bit amateurish to say the least , but at least it was better than the food. I expected a more authentic experience, but it turned out to be very touristy instead. To top things off we were sat next to the biggest, loudest gobmouth in the world, who felt the need to have a running commentary going throughout the whole night, which wa intensely annoying!Overall it was a shame as neither myself or my friend felt that paying almost £40 per head was value for money for the evening. The staff were friendly enough, but I wouldn't recommend anyone going there. Too expensive for what you get in return. Avoid!
