I have visited this fine local restaurant twice now, and on both occasions was left feeling great.

The first visit was for Mother's Day this year, and my Mum was made to feel like a Queen for the afternoon.

Then again last Saturday night. My partner and I enjoyed a three course meal for a mere £27 each, and could not have been more impressed.

The staff are attentive without being intrusive and are wonderfully helpful.

I had enquired about whether I could smoke at the table we were seated at after our starters, as half the rstaurant is non smoking and we were seated in the middle( a m mere enquiry-to which a no would have been perfectly fine). Before we knew it, we were hastliy reseated at a new table without any fuss or drama. It was so slick, the other diners didn't even notice.

It is the little touches that make all the difference, and this is what makes Almeida a truly memorable experience(that and the delicious food-save space for the trolley of tarts and pastries!!!!)
