Lightship Ten

My Partner and I went here on Friday night for a special occasion. The choice on the menu was light to say the least, and we struggled to find something for starter and main course. The butternut squash soup was creamy and to die for. The fois gras was also a pleasant way to begin.

On ordering the main course, the waitress confirmed that the lamb was served with potatoes, yet my dish arrived with some wilted broccoli and baby onions. I asked if I could order a side dish, and was told that they had run out. The lamb was ordered medium, yet was chilled cold in the centre, I sent it back to find that they threw the same bits back onto the pan and recooked it. This is very poor, as I would have expected better off a restaurant that commands such high prices. My Partner ate his meal whilst mine was back in the kitchen and the romantic night out now turned into an hour of taking it in turns to eat courses. We swiftly asked for the bill, and were surprised to find that we had been charged for every item and to top it oiff, a hefty service charge was added. Eating here on Friday night totally ruined our evening, and the manager did not even have the courtesy to come and speak to us. I will not be recommending this place to anyone seriously doubt that I will be back.

Obviously custsomer service isn't one of their strong points
