Cafe Rialto

If you live near this place, definitely visit.

It's a lovely little italian and the food is of a very high quality, despite the cheap prices.

From the outside it doesn't look that tempting but once inside it has a real Mediterranean feel about it and the staff are brilliant.

This place get busier every time I go and it has to be due to value for money, word of mouth, a good dining experience and something to do with the lovely deserts and the wonderful garlic bread.

The Ebury

This place is great. We didnt spend any time downstairs, but ate in the restaurant upstairs.

Right from the off, the service was excellent. We booked a quite corner seat and were rewarded with a very private setting. The staff were very helpful, welcoming and knowledgable about the wine and food.

The wine list is very good. The food was out of this world and my main course was possibly the best main course I've had in London.

This place has a lovely atmosphere too, and I would highly reccomend it.

The Abbey Tavern

This place is pretty good, I never really expect much from a gastro pub in terms of food, but I've eaten here of three occasions and I've never been dissapointed. It could be argued that it's a little over priced, but what gastro pub isn't?

The garden is great, but this place can definately find itself closer to a pub than a restaurant at the weekend with plenty of drinkers and a dj.

Worth a visit if you a near by.

Villa Bianca

I know this has been said by reviewers already, but this place is so good I had to add my praise.

A wonderful atmosphere, beautiful food and excellent service. The menu is so sumptuous and tempting it's almost impossible to decide on what you want to eat. Then there's the wine list, which is an extensive list of top quality wines at very reasonable prices.

I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough, it's perfect for every occasion from a first date to grandfathers 80th birthday.

With a piano playing upstairs, great decor, quality food and a real family feel to the waiting staff it's quite simply the best italian around and definately the best reataurant anywhere near hampstead.

The Magdala

A little dissapointed by this restaurant, the service was great, the wine list ok and the atmosphere in the downstairs bar pretty good. However whilst the menu looked very tempting, the food actually served wasn't quite up to scratch (both mine and my dinner date).

Having said that the history (Ruth Ellis) probably means it's worth a visit and hopefully the food on the day I visited was a one off.
