The Terrace on Holland Street

We had a very nice meal here on a hot Saturday evening, sitting on the terrace and enjoying the warm night air. Tremendous salady starters, and inventive mains - not the cheapest restaurant in London, but not pricey either for the food. Good wine list with strongest selection in £18-£30 range, with some unusual and good wines.

The Ivy

Still quite nice, but has it passed its best? The menu has not changed much, the food is competent but no longer quite as accomplished in my experience, and mix of customers seems to have changed. Doormen and hatcheck ladies continue to delight.
