Edokko
First time to Edokko this past weekend and this was the best sashimi i have had in london - it was so fresh and beautiful. Otherwise rest of dishes were very traditional japanese and were equivalent to what i have had in past. Great little restaurant. Meal was £92 for 2 sharing 1 dessert - sushi + sashimi is expensive but the best things on the menu.

Le Vacherin Malcolm John
Although many are saying this restaurant is better than Chiswick's La Trompette, i would disagree purely on food. I found the sets of Chateau Briand + other cuts of meat very dry and not so tasty at all. The price came to £50 as well per person. The restaurant is very nice as are the staff, food i am not so keen on.

Ottolenghi
Okay this place looks great and some of the food is good. However the desserts tend to be very dry, cakes and tarts - for the prices they charge you would expect excellent quality.

Snows on the Green
Having been hear 4 or 5 times now, I would recommend this restaurant to a friend. Good value for money if you are getting the set menu of the day, 2 out of 3 courses will usually be very good.

Great dim sum....a group of us go regularly. First recommended by a close hong kong chinese friend who says it is the most similar dim sum or yum cha to what you get in Hong Kong....i would have to agree having lived there for a few years.

Great Chinese food, very similar to the fair you eat in Hong Kong including the service (the wait). love the aubergine pork hotpot dish, peking duck and beancurd dishes.

Osteria Basilico
Very good italian restaurant, having been to venice, tuscany, rome and sicily many times, it does rank pretty high given you are not in italy. favourite dish has to be ossombuco (bone marrow) which is an italian favourite.
