Cafe Pacifico

I visited this restaurant for dinner following the theatre. Although we arrived at 10pm it was still three quarters full. Nevertheless, the service was prompt and friendly. Complementary chips and hot sauce (which can be purchased to go) soon arrived and were a lively, spiky opener. My husband and I both opted for the 'street tacos', a selection of five mini tortillas with different toppings such as sirloin steak and spiced duck. These were served with a green tomatillo sauce, sweet red pepper sauce and a portion of fabulously unctuous pork beans. Very enjoyable and rather messy (another reason that this isn't a first date place). Also very filling. The final bill including a bottle of Chilean red and a tip came to just over £40.00.

I really liked this place - interesting decor, funky music, tasty food. The only down side was that the toilets could really be smartened up (i.e. cleaned).
