I've been to Veeraswamy a couple of times and I would highly recommend it to anyone. It was a fantastic place to bring my friend from Canada to treat her to some great Indian food with a great view of Regent Street. My absolute favorite item on the menu is the bread basket.. you always get lots of different types of seeded Nan Bread... very nice. I agree the prices are a bit high, but for the location of the restaraunt and the food that you get I think its not that bad.

Mint Leaf

I went to the Mint leaf for a romantic dinner with my boyfriend and I have to say that it was great. The service was fantastic. To begin with we had a couple of cocktails at the bar which were absolutley delicious. Then we sat down and had our meal which was divine. I agree that the portions aren't huge, but by the time we finished our starters and main, we didn't need anymore! I highly recommend having the sharing platter for the starter.. especially the paneer brocolli.. I still have dreams about it!

My only complaint would be the prices... it is a bit pricey for what you're getting... but if you're out for a nice treat you don't mind paying a bit more.
