Gordon Ramsay's Boxwood Cafe

Visited Boxwood last Sunday, as friends were in from out of town, expected the place to be deserted, but at 8.00 the restaurant was buzzing -we stayed 'til 12.30 and still not the last to leave.

This has been my 3rd visit to the Boxwood since it opened and foods and service has been consistently good.

I suppose their signature dish is the Veal and Foie Gras Burger. This raises a few eyebrows with my friends given the double 'ethical' whammy, but absolutely sublime and on par with Wagyu beef for the melt in the mouth factor; worth a visit for that alone. The others had fried oysters, pig’s trotter to start and fish for mains –all spot on.

The room has a thirties feel to it and is mellowing nicely. I haven’t visited Royal Hospital Rd, but most of the others, and this is definitely my favourite Ramsey.
