New Mayflower

This one, was recommended by Chinese. It's super supre crowded, but the food is wonderful. a bit over priced, big portion. Advice? take a Chinese with you when you visiting this one, so that they know what is proper Chinese food. No deep fried, please. I agreed that the service is no good at all, i think it's because they are just too busy to care about you. you have to go there specially for the food, and be prepared for their bad service, concentrate on the food, then you might be happy. Oh yes, they will rush you to pay for the bill RIGHT after you finish you dishes. well, most of the Chinese restraunt more or less do that, right?

Imperial China

This one, honestly priced, wonderful proper chinese food, and great portion. Will recommended. I was very suprised by its decoration, it's very Chinese, let say. We didn't order wine, as me and my boy friend both don't drink. and order 4 dishes, including duck, fish, eel, and chicken, fried rice and tea, the bill come up at £40.00 including service charge. It's alright, at least we had our next day lunch! (heheh, ordered too much, take a way a lot)

Young Cheng (Shaftesbury Ave)

Oh yes, this is a great place for your money. It is wonderful portion, and great food. for a fiver, you can't get better than here. Highly recommended for those who like me, hunting for a bargain. if you want to treat your client, never ever go there, they won't even step inside. It's for casual eating, not for formal or anniversary stuff. Service? well, what will you expect for your fiver? at least they are straight forward, and efficient. won't keep you waiting half an hour for your food. Basically, it's like a Chinese fast food shop. hehe, there you go.

SuperStar Excel

I just lived around, so I went there and give it a try, it's expensive, to my standard, but the food is good. yet again, you can get better or same standard food in China town for half of the price. Another thing is, it's a bit far from everything, i don't think anyone is willing to travel there just for a dinner. I had been there several times, if you are a Chinese, and you know what you are ordering, it's good value for money and great taste. I 've been there once with my New Zealand friends, the restraunt "kindly" suggested some dishes that "meet" the western taste, and it didn't turn out good at all. I was very disappointed that time, and didn't go back since. Advice, go there, eat like a Chinese, and you will like it. don't order anything that is deep fried, first of all, it's not Chinese at all, secondly, it's bad for your health and diet.

Royal China (Canary Wharf)

Here we go, I finally went there, and I won't go back! I was told by a lot of people about this restraunt. Maybe they all want me to go and have a try, see what a Chinese will say about a Chinese restraunt. The food is tasty, but not worth the price. Me and my friend went there for a celebration of me getting a new job. we spent £75.00 in total. We had a lobster (pepper and salt, basically, deep fried, not the usual way we cook it, but it's fresh, and nice) we had something very Chinese, duck tongue, that was nice. we had a special fried rice, MaPo Tofu, also Frog leg, and for drinks, we order tea. The portions are very generous, the location is great, (not when the weather is colde and windy though). All in all, food is nice, but over priced. You can get better else where, such as China town. I saw a lot of people went there for company event, don't know if it's a good idea, as it's very busy, and looks like it's not high class enough for your dear clients. Dim Sum? haven't try it, will see if next time someone can treat me. :) won't pay for it myself. Oh, and about the service, well, it's pretty standard, if any of you been to China, then you can expect that the service is just very normal one. Keep changing your plate.
