Le Bistro

I've tried and tried with this place. But no more. The food is good-ish. Bit disappointed with the brie tonight which arrived looking like an over-cooked croquette. The Merguez were small but tasty yet the cous-cous was frozen. I so wanted a good local restaurant that was occassionally great that I've given this a few tries. However, how come the management are capable of being so rude? One time I go on a Tuesday, they have lost my booking and so I can no longer enjoy the Summer sun outside - despite there being a virtually empty restaurant. I find out later that the outside was reserved for 'friends'. Tonight, Autumn having arrived, we go in, are told we can sit where we want. But, oh no, the manager and his mates have decided that the front part of the restaurant is just for them. We sit, only to be told, that it is 'reserve' - as are all the other tables in the cosy part of the restaurant. After having been given free choice, we are compelled to spend the evening next to an open window. If the management only want to cook for their friends, then they should buy a big dining room instead.

If the food were better or even slightly better priced I would return but I've given this my best shots and it just don't make the grade
