Great ham, great wine, friendly chatty waiter. Got a table the second we walked through the door.

Good quality food at a really reasonable price a stone's throw from the Apollo.

A bit of a disappoinment. A table for two on a Monday night. The restaurant had about eight people eating so the staff and kitchen were hardly overworked. Even so, they got the first course order wrong. The waitress who took our order had to be prompted to ask both how I wanted my steak cooked and whether we wanted any wine as she was starting to walk away from the table. The steak (which they make a big deal of on the menu - and charge for accordingly) was also poor. The 'rib-eye' I ordered had the texture of cheap, badly cooked rump steak. I could have done a better job with £4 at Sainsburys. I had little flavour and was packed with tough fat and gristle. The Moroccan Chicken was dry and also lacking in flavour. Whilst the restaurant is well designed with a pleasant atmosphere, the food was a let down and we won't be returning. It seems adding the words Covent Garden to a restaurant name is a cue to inflate prices and skimp on effort. Perhaps that explains the lack of customers I referred to earlier.
