I had dinner here last week for the first time in over a year. It seems to have fallen back in a number of respects. For the starter I had what was described in the menu as sweet and sour skate with balsamic vinegar. The sweet and sour element must have got lost along the way, for what arrived was an over-large (for a starter) piece of tasteless fish, drizzled with vinegar. I ate the part with the vinegar only. The pasta course was the special - peas and pork belly - not bad, but not particularly tasty. The main, monkfish, again not bad but lacking anything of interest. Overall the meal was not bad, but for this restaurant one would expect much better. The atmosphere however remains very pleasant and the service good, but the dishes lack punch. It was also irritating at the end, when the bill arrived, to find that glasses of italian sparkling wine, suggested when we sat down by the waiter and described as being on 'special offer', had cost £15 per glass. We had had three between us, which would have bought a good bottle.

Food 5 | Service 7 | Atmosphere 8 | Value for money 4
Very disappointing - overpriced (more than £70 for 2 without wine and a shared main course), cheap decor, very patchy service (one pleasant waiter, but a few sullen ones as well) and mediocre food. Having lived in Lebanon for a year I'd say it shouldn't be hard to do much better. One can eat far better elsewhere - try Noura in Victoria.
