After my second visit, Galvin is now officially my favorite restaurant in London. The food is fresh and cooked to perfection. The service is friendly, attentive and professional. And the design is tasteful and makes you feel comfortable: tables are well spaces and not too close to each other as it often is the case in some London restaurants. The a la carte menu offers excellent value for money and the special lunch and 18-19 o'clock menus are probably one of the best deals in London. I started the evening with Escargots Bourguignons, followed by Pumpkin Ravioli and tasted the Halibut and Chicken with wild mushrooms from my friends plates...all excellent and accompanied by great dry well-chilled Italian South Tyrolean Veltliner. We finished the evening with a Tarte Tatin that is supposed to be for 2 people, but which in fact divides into 4 generous portions.
A highly recommendable restaurant!
