I have to day that after reading some of the reviews i was quite nervous about going here for dinner but it turned out to be fantastic and one of the best meals i've had in ages. They called me in the morning to confirm my booking which was good news as i had heard that someone's booking had been lost i nthe past. The meal was expensive but great, most of the expense is down to drinks. Cocktails start at £9.50 and for a decent bottle of wine we paid £24. The food was amazing though we had some nigiri, chicken gyozo, scallop siu mai which was amazing and a vegetarian curry with jasmine rice to share as the curry portion size was very large. The curry was the best i've had in ages, hot and spicy but a thin soup with lots of coconut coming off it and i don't normally like vegetarian food. The service was great; only one thing wrong, it took a little while to catch someone's eye to order some drinks in the bar beforehand, but once we had it was a wonderful 3hour dinner. I felt the waiting staff were very considerate, it's true they do try to offer advice and will point you in the direction of the more expensive items but if you're firm and have looked at the menu and have an idea of what you want then there should be no problems. The good thing was that we never felt in any rush to leave or that anyone was after out table so after 3 hours had gone by very quickly we were ready to go. It is a fantastic atmosphere and it had good music too, i would recommend going for dinner about 9ish as we got there at 7.45 for dinner at 8 and the atmosphere didn't pick up until about 9/9.30. All in all a wonderful meal and i will definitely be going back.
