Galvin

A crisp Autumn day with sun streaming through the windows seems ideal for a window-side table to enjoy the spectacular food at this restaurant. Or not. As the people sitting at the table next to us objected to the sunshine, the blinds were lowered for most of the afternoon, obscuring the view and, therefore, the main reason that most people had chosen this restaurant on this occasion (food notwithstanding). Why can't the blinds be operated independently?! Quite spoilt the afternoon. Enough about this - the food was as good as expected, with (in my case) succulent salmon, tender lamb and perfectly complementary sides. Service was (despite other reviews) unobtrusive yet attentive. Absolutely worth the money - but if you don't want to sit in the sun during Autumn/ Winter, don't ask for a windowside seat to the south/ west!
