Had lunch at Galvins about a month ago. Cuisine was good except for one main course but service was slow and slightly sloppy.

Starters: steak tartare and half dozen oysters - both were very good and tartare was perfectly seasoned although minimally presented.

My girlfriend had calf's liver with pomme puree - she thought it was excellent.

I had confit of duck leg - well executed, however missing starch so I was left expecting more.

Biggest problem was the time waiting for the mains: at least half an hour. We would have had dessert, but had to return to work. Decor and ambience was good, comfortable and lively. Would go back hoping to be competely impressed.
