My husband and I visited Awana last week and it was a pleasant enough experience. Having heard it was the sister restaurant to Mango tree we went with high expectations. The waiting area is comfortable with a lovely bar area and knowldgeable and friendly bar staff. However the main restaurant area lacked any elegance. With Plasma screens showing dodgy pictures of malaysia it was more like a far eastern pub of sorts!! The starters we ordered were lovely- highly reccommend the scallops with lemongrass. However the main course was lacking somewhat. The currys were all tomato based which was not the best base for some of the vegetables. Desserts were nice with surprisingly a good selection. All in all it was OK but we preffered Mango Tree.
