Firstly the positive, nice decor. Apart from that I can find little to recommend this restaurant. I went as a party of 27 (my table had 11 people on it) and we were offered the choice of 2 set menus, one vegetarian, and one non-vegetarian. Now every restaurant I've been to where you have a set menu, allows you to choose which dishes from the set menu you want, not this place! We were told what we were getting, and were expected to share for example, the chicken dish (which arrived on a medium to large plate) between 11 of us! They were however more than generous when it came to serving up green beans and egg fried rice, which in their eyes is a main dish! They also were at pains to remind us that any drinks we ordered beyond the first one, would have to be paid for!
The staff were unfriendly and it felt like we had ruined their day by actually paying them to eat there, speaking of which, the set menu was £24.80 per person for 2 courses! That wouldn't be too bad if the food was excellent, but sadly it was no more than average.
All in all a poor dining experience with at best average food, and poor unfriendly service. One to avoid.

If your main priority when visiting an indian restaurant is good food, then look no further. I have yet to have a dish on Regency's menu which has been anything other than excellent.
As the name suggests (Club), this isn't your typical indian restaurant, more of a pub that serves food (although this might change soon, when their extension opens).
The staff are friendly and courteous, and once you have been a few times, you are welcomed you like an old friend re-visiting, really make you feel valued and welcome.
The atmosphere of a pub/restaurant may not be to everyone's taste, but when the food is this good, who cares?!
Many establishments nearby have tried to imitate this place in terms of their food, which is very flattering, but no-one comes close, I cannot recommend this place highly enough.
