I scrolled and have seen this restaurant take quite a slating.

I went there with a couple that are good friends of mine and have to say the food was great. They were particularly generous with the side dishes which most Korean restaurants are not. Although the barbecue portions were not big enough. They also have a lot of traditional dishes which arent available in most other Korean restaurants (so im reliably told).

It was a good experience and I will be venturing out there again.

Wong Kei

This is a very difficult restaurant to judge. Its a restaurant setting with take away food and prices. Its ideal if you want a quick, cheap and relatively good food.

But make no mistake, this isnt somewhere where you would go for an anniversary, date (in my opinion) or birthday party.

Especially frequented by travellers, students (mainly the international ones) and all sorts. Its unpretentious, slightly unsanitary and the decor wont win any design awards either.

The food. Well there is quite a wide selection of everything really, good set menus and starters. It has been known for being a little on the oily side though. I think its delicious and ive never ordered a dish i regretted.

What i liked, and im being very biased here, is that when i appeared once in my liverpool football top they refered to me as 'Gerrard' and remembered me from before - very un-london. I know this doesnt exactly make it a good restaurant but a nice touch.

Ive always found the service good and fast. They dont beat around the bush which I quite like.

What i didnt like is that they seat you next to smoking customers. very annoying.

If you are hungry before clubbing or going to the footy then by all means go here. But if you are with the girlfriend then id advise you to look elsewhere.

Had a very expensive kimchi jigae and kimchi (radish) which, including the service charge, left me with 40 pence change from £10.

Restaurant was virtually empty and i can see why. Food was good but ridiculously over priced. The manageress was distinctly unimpressed when i said i didnt want a drink or rice. I have also heard that free side dishes are available for native Koreans but not for non-Koreans which I find appalling.

And i can vouch for one that this is not the best restaurant in Barnet, not by any stretch of the imagination.
