Porters English Restaurant

I brought a party of 37 people to Porters for our clubs christmas meal. They had made a real effort ballons, christmas crackers etc which was good. I had taken everyones pre-orders of food which made there life easier. The first courst was good no had any complaints. The main course - I had turkey was OK. It was not bad but not special which really was you want in a restaurtant you are spending money in. The pudding however was great. Two people in our party had birthdays so they even made birthday cakes for them - a nice touch. At the end however the staff were in a panic over not having enough money for the bill. With 37 people it is enevitable that there is problems collecting all the money which we did. Their panic made us panic as well but really there was not a problem a bit unecessary. However all sorted in the end. Overall Porters put a lot of effort into it (but then again so did I collecting all their orders for them). The main course could have been better but overall a good outing for the group.
