Frankie's Braganza

Awful! Arrived on time for our booking only to have to hang around for 3-4 minutes near the bar before we were acknowledged by waiting staff..another 2 mins before we were seating. Nice largish tables, but lacking in certain items of cutlery, which was not picked up on by staff, even after our food had arrived. We were given menus - it was ten minutes before staff returned to even take our drinks order....we didn;t dare chance not ordering our food at the same time for fear of starvation.

However, it was only then that the waitress decvided to inform us that 4 dishes on the menu were not available and we had to send her off while we all reconsidered our choices. Fair enough one might argue if this was 10pm on s Saturday evening, but this was 8 pm on a Monday! Their chef needs some lessons in stock ordering.

Food eventually arrived - smallish portions and nothing special - in fact i can't now even remember what starter i had - so bland it has been erased from memory. There are far better places in Chiswick.

Palm Court Brasserie

Have been going here for a Christmas meal for the past four years - we always have the set menu and it never fails to disappoint. Good, efficient service, even when extremely busy. Value for money in a handy location for shopping/pubs.

Mantra Contemporary Indian Dining

My partner and I visited mantra last night and had a fantastic meal. 3 wonderful courses at reasonable prices, attentive staff who didn't rush us whatsoever. The place has a warm atmosphere..the lighting is a little strange to get used to at first, but truly adds to the expreience. All in all, a reasnably priced, charming local restaurant!

High Road Brasserie

Food - bog standard brasserie fare - local competitiors have nothing to fear - i vcan think of four or five restaurants within a two min walk which are more adventurous in menus and better value for money.

Wine list - again ok - nothing sexy.

Cocktails were good but we were put off staying for more because of the cocky aussie bar man who clearly though he was Tom Cruise (pleeease). Slow and witnessed him being rude and argumentative with 2 customers. Clearly thought he was irreplaceable and Sooo wrong!
