Mango Tree

Very disappointing. We attended as a group of 18 for the banquet. When the food was bought to the table it was unevenly distributed and there isn't enough of every dish for everyone to sample.

The tofu was tasteless and the chicken in vine wraps tasted manufactured, like chicken nugget meat.

The soup was disgusting - far too much fish sauce, the smell and taste was overpowering and made it inedible.

There was more than an hour wait between the soup and main courses. We were told we were in a queue.

Same problem with the mains in that there was not enough of everything, although the two dishes I did try were of the standard you'd expect an all you can eat for £3 Chinese buffet when the food has been sitting all day under heater lamps.

I eat and vook Thai food regularly and spend a lot of time in Thailand and have never tasted such bland and badly cooked food before. Whether this is because it was the banquet menu and perhaps the a la carte menu is better but I shan't be returning to find out.

Service was ok, nothing special and not particularly friendly but efficient enough.

Oh, the brownie for pudding was nice in an out of the packet from M&S kind of way.
