The Crown

I love taking friends to the Crown. It has a great pub atmosphere, a good wine list and usually serves really nice pub food. However the last few visits I've been more than dissapointed.

Last night, I ordered the warm broccoli, asparagus and new potatoe salad with stilton. I expected a lovely light salad with a fresh dressing. What I got was a soy sauce dressing. Now I don't know if its me but Stilton and soy sauce just don't go!!

Did the chef get the bottles of soy sauce and balsamic vinegar mixed up?

I love this pub but come on keep the food simple.
