We visited Clos Maggiore Sat 24th March, after booking 4 months in advance. It was my wifes 30th birthday so I decided to make it a special occasion. We were not disappointed from the moment we stepped through the front door, we were greeted and shown to our seats.
I was told prior to our arrival to allow 2 hours for a comfortable meal as we were going to the theatre later in the evening.
We were seated in the conservatory next to the fire, the decor was fantastic, table lay out and seating was superb, the atention and service were second to none.
We selected from the a la carte menu as the pre theatre menu was very limited (as you would expect). I chose the foie gras followed by the braised beef and my wife chose a fish starter followed by lobster, all were presented fantastically. We had champagne to begin with and a glass of red & white with our main courses (which the wine waiter recomended) and coffee after.
All in all a fantastic experience which came to just under £200 which was ok I thought, as you get what you pay for, my only moan was the mark up on the champagne, but I suppose we were in the capital.
We will definitely be returning.
