Paternoster Chop House
First rate, Pricey.....but you are clearly paying for what you get. Is a daytime place for bankers and lawyers, more than a night time venue.
I took my lawyer out for lunch, and we joined the masses that come from the surrounding offices. We had a great table at the window. I had the Red Bream, which is brought from Cornwall, beautifully cooked with sea beat, which is wild and comes from kent. She had bangers and mash, which she also enjoyed.
What I like about this place, is that you can see the kitchen, and you can see its clean. The staff are happy, and attendtive, not stuffy and snobby!.
I also like that the foods are freerange or wild, and I get the feeling that the chef realy cares about the origin of the foods, as the entire menu is 'happy' meats, and rod caught fish, and wild foraged salads.
