The Real Greek (Bankside)

After reading the reviews of poor service, I thought that it may be a little slow, and for people in London thats to slow. However after waiting 35 minutes from ordering our drinks to them actually arriving and that only after we asked for them three times and the last time from the manager. Our starters and mains arrived all at once and for the price I must say the portions were sad. After starters and a main course I was still hungry but was afraid to order dessert due to it being 10pm and I wasnt sure it would arrive before closing.

To his credit the waiter did apologise for the poor service explaining that the restaurant was very busy. From my seat it seemed half full, but maybe thats busy for them.

I can put up with slow service in a busy restaurant, when I got out to eat Im not in a hurry but, bad service from a rude waiter is not acceptable, especially for £20 a head for what amounted to a snack and a drink.

Oh and the £3 bottle of "Greek mineral water" that was actually from Scotland was a nice touch.
