Wow. It's all that needs to be said really. I have eaten at good restaurants before (La Pont De La Tour, Fifteen etc) so I thought I knew what to expect from Gordon Ramsay. I soon found out that service and food have another realm of greatness. We arrived and were greeted warmly and showed to our table. We had some beautiful Champagne with our canapes. As we ate them we got more and more excited at the prospect of what was to come! We opted for the menu prestige and were offered many different options to vary our meal. They recomended that if we wanted to try more to order different things, and all the staff knew everything there was to know about all the dishes. If you get offered Pork Three Ways, take it. It really is so amazing. There is Black Pudding, Pork Fillet and Pork wrapped in crispy potato, with spinach and a madeira sauce. Breathtaking food. Pork so tender I'm sure if I just rested my knife on it, it would have cut through. Every course we had was in perfect order. The selection of cheese, and the knowledge shown of each of them was astounding. We were given a tour of the kitchen and met the head chef, who was obviously extremely busy, but still took five minutes to talk to us, and made us feel like we were all that mattered. I cannot write a review for Gordon Ramsay without mentioning Jean-Claude the maitre de. Such a nice man. So polite, friendly, down to earth, professional and efficient. He almost made our evening as much as the food did. We ARE going back to this restaurant. Our dinner came to £330 and I would rather go to back there than go to six average restaurants. I will be telling everyone I know that they must go there!
