I recently visited The Cinnamon Club with a group of friends, one of whom actually recommended we try it out.
My initial impressions were good and we enjoyed a drink in the bar as we waited for our group to arrive.
I liked the main dining room which had a nice feel to it and still retained a distinct library feel and was impressed by the selection of dishes available on the menu. I chose to order from the Festival Menu for the month which featured seafood dishes from Goa and Maharastra and was very happy with my choice when it arrived.
I loved my starter of Konkani prawns which were beautifully spiced and I had a very good main course of Kingfish curry. Finished off with a lovely Indian rice pudding - much more interesting than the usual desserts offered in Indian establishments.
Overall a very enjoyable evening with excellent food, good service and a rather lovely setting.
