Le Pont de la Tour

Since Lee's arrival as Head Chef last year, the menu has improved immensely. The Sunday lunch menu is simple but extremely well cooked and presented. The Yorkshire puddings must be the best in London. ( I always ask for two!)

The location couldn't be better. The wine can be expensive, but there are good wines at affordable prices.

On a Sunday lunchtime there is often live jazz in the bar, a great place to finish your meal with a coffee and port.

Boulevard Brasserie

We ate at Boulevard Brasserie with some friends on Sunday. The service was incredibly slow, I really dislike having to chase waiters for drinks ordered 1/2 hour before. The food whilst of fairly good quality, arrived lukewarm and seemed as though it had been left waiting in the kitchen for one of the waiting staff to collect.

The wine list was fairly well priced with some very good cheaper wines.

Unfortunately the restaurant appeared a bit run down and slightly seedy. There are many excellent restaurants in the area - we definately wont be going back.
