La Tasca (Covent Garden)

La Tosca St Martins Lane, Covent Garden.

I have never written a restaraunt review but my visit to La Tosca this evening was so bad it warrants one. The wait staff was fine, the ambience was fine. The company was great. The food was terrible particularly for the money. We were a large group and got the specialty sharing tapas fixed menu. I think they gave us one to few plates of each based on the number of people so that everyone got one potato slice, one meatball, one chicken wing and so on and so forth. The food was terrible on par with frozen tapas from your corner store. I would think even the frozen tapas at Marks are better and they don't cost 20 pounds a head. I am a girl and am not suffering terribly of hunger but the men i walked home with were going to eat again when they get home...which is absurd for a 26 pound meal. London food is pricey at times particularly in groups but you can get great food for that price and less at hundreds of places! This was by far one of the worst meals i have ever had in london and definitely in covent garden. When in doubt pick somewhere else...perhaps the food is better at a small table...but aside from ease of ordering there is no point in spending that kind of money on frozen food!
