Dockgate 4 Bar and Grill

Excellent ! Excellent! Excellent !

I have been eating/drinking at Dock Gate 4 since it opened and can honestly say I have never had a bad meal there.

Every six weeks or so , a circle of friends take a Friday off work and spend from lunchtime onwards, starting with a few drinks at the bar and then enjoying a very leisurely lunch.

The menu is varied and exciting and is always cooked/presented to perfection.

The staff are excellent and the service is first class yet unobtrusive.

The surroundings of Dock Gate 4 are elegant and bright and even though we have eaten there at quiet times, there is still a lovely atmosphere.

When I go on cruises from Southampton, the voyage always starts at Dock Gate 4 for lunch. Our 'superstition is that "that the ship will sink if we don't have lunch at DG4 first" but you really don't need any excuse to eat here !!!!!
