Been coming here regularly since it opened early 2007. Friendly, clean and reasonably priced place. Serves a mix of regulars and tourists and overspill from the neighbouring Four Seasons - which is how I first visited. Now I have defected mainly due to the better friendlier service (i.e they don''t give a sour face when you don't tip as 13% service charge is added to the bill) and it ids much easier to get a table. Four Seasons can be like a zoo at times.
Food wise its up to par. The roast duck is very competent, roast pork is crispy and flavousome and the char siu is fantastic. They serve your usual chinese restaurant staples plus some more authentic dishes. Our faves being the steamed egg and seafood, fish and aubergine hot pot and the chilly minced pork with japanese tofu on a hotplate. They even recomended a dish once which was spareribs stir fried in a sweet sour salad cream sauce. Very unique to say the least.
You won't be disappointed, we don't even go to Chinatown anymore and I can assure you this place is better than 80% of the rubbish you now find in Chi town.
