La Trompette

My wife and I have been to La Trompette, twice now, opting for an early table at 6.30pm on a Saturday. Both times the service has been excellent, friendly, helpful and hospitable with a total lack of pretension.

I believe La Trompete is good value for money, if you are used to eating out and want quality and honest French food. The seared tuna and rabbit ravioli starters were both wonderful. (The rabbit ravioli very filling - a very decent sized portion)

My lamb main course was perfection with really fresh, lightly cooked vegetables. I also recommend the strawberry and vanilla panna cotta and the apricot and almond tart with jersey cream - both so light and a perfect end to a great meal.

Well done, La Trompette - we'll be back again.
