Barshu

The new Barshu has out done itself, with refined Chinese decor, and great food to match.

It is a pricey Chinese restaurant (especially in comparison to some of those across the street in Chinatown) but worth every penny. Dishes are on the firey side - so be prepared. The sea bass soup is a special treat.

Il Baretto

Great local Italian eatery - with a lively upstairs wine bar and busy downstairs restaurant which turns out thoroughly enjoyable Italian cuisine.

Definitely worth a visit!

Cha Cha Moon

Wow - what a forum for whiners! The food is £3.50 a dish - and if you are not ravenous... 1 noodle dish is plenty for dinner. It is served hot and quickly - and most of the dishes I have tried have been quite tasty!

What are people comparing this place too? Let's put things in perspective - a sandwich at Pret is near £3.00 these days. A take out soup at Itsu is £5.00. And neither of these are nearly as good as Cha Cha Moon.

For £3.50 (or £7 if you are really hungry) you get a fast, hot meal - in a chatty, lively place. Great for grabbing a bite to eat with friends before heading out for the night... or for a quick lunch when shopping. Is it a destination dining experience? HECK NO! But neither are many of the places in this town that charge 4X the price for the same food.

So for all those whiners, I am glad you will not be back. It will be mean that the queue will be shorter next time I pop in.

Barrafina

Love this place! Yes - it is pricey ... but is there a real good dining expereince in London that is cheap?

The food is yummy - and very fresh, wine list which nicely complements the food, fun atmosphere, and AMAZING SERVICE!

I went there opening night, and have been back many times since - happily it is still just as great as the first time.
