Sen Nin (Islington)

The food was was reasonably expensive and it didn't wow me. I thought everything tasted quite similar becuase it had been cooked on the same hot plate. Sashimi was fine but not amazing.

The interior seemed a little on the dark side and lacked atmosphere. Service wasn't great and it was a thursay night so it wasn't as if the waiters had that much to do.

However, the thing that really annoyed me about this place was the overly flamboyant cooking at your table - I quite liked the idea of watching someone cook, but I didn't enjoy the juggling of salt and pepper shakers and the way the chef constantly wanted our attention (and accompanying oooohs and ahhhhs).

There was nothing terrible about 'ah-so' but I left feeling a bit disatisfied - felt it was more 'so-so'. It might be quite fun in a big group, if you have children, or even if your drunk to be honest but otherwise I wouldn't bother. In my opinion there are better restaurants to go to in Islington.
