I'm surprised by the bad reviews here, I thought Skylon was great!
My starter of smoked quail with summer truffle was excellent, although didn't contain any truffle, but mushroom.
However this was compensated for by the truffle potatoes with the main course, which was the truffliest thing ever. The chateaubriande was exceptional.
We were initially offered a table by the door, but were permitted to wait for another table to leave so we could sit by the window.
It wasn't cheap (around £60 per head with wine) but a lot better than I expected, a really good surprise.
