Bluebird Restaurant

I love 'nice' restaurants, and have frequented many. I had heard such good things about this place that my husband and I decided to have lunch there on our wedding anniversary. The location is wonderful with outdoor seating ideal for people watching however the food was only ok. The Bruschetta starter was lovely, however the prawn cocktail starter wasn't anything special. For mains we had the chicken and the lamb - neither of which are worth recommending. The service was overbearing, to the point where the waitress actually stood over my husband while he finished his starter, which seemed a bit pointless when we then waited a further 20mins for the mains. The bill came to a hefty £60 which I really dont think the meal was worth, I think its worth visiting this restaurant for the experience but doubt we will be going back

Ping Pong (South Bank)

Fab food! my hubby and I dined at this restaurant on Friday night prior to catching a show. The restaurant doesn't take bookings, we arrived at 6.15 and was promptly able to get a table (there was a long queue when we walked past at 10pm though) The food was fantastic, the service very efficient and I think the bill very reasonable. We had 6 steamed dishes, the Wakame Prawn wrap and the crispy hoi sin duck. All of the food was really tasty however the Wakame prawn wrap, chive dim sum and spicy chicken dim sum were absolutely beautiful. We found that our order was just enough, any less and we would have still been hungry, but might have still been able to have a little more that what we did order. We were done by 7.15 and the bill came to £35 incl of drinks. Would highly recommend this place and will definitely go back
