Wahaca (Covent Garden)

One of the best Mexican restaurants I've found so far. I visited on a Saturday afternoon and was expecting to battle a huge crowd of Christmas shoppers, but we were seated straight away. The service was speedy and very friendly but my friend and I felt no pressure to rush our food. We chose a couple of the 'street food' dishes each and found these really filling as well as delicious. There is enough variety to appeal to most tastes. The atmosphere was a lot more casual than I had expected, but it was also really friendly. I noticed diners asking each other for recommendations- not something you usually see in London

I would also recommend the divine churros y chocolate which I followed with an espresso that was almost as thick as the melted chocolate in the pudding!

Admittedly we didn't have any alcohol, but we walked out the restaurant stuffed and satisfied for only £13 each.
