Le QuecumBar

I like this place. Bit far to travel as I am in North London (Mill Hill) but been twice (so shows its worth the journey). The food isnt up to the standard of Gordon Ramsey but its good honest and simple meals at the same price of "pub scoff" around 6 - 7 quid a plate. Wine and beer lists great. Waiters I have found extremely good at their job and give you your order with mininum fuss without a 'modern' attitude.

The main reason we go of course, is to hear the best acoustic jazz this side of Paris. even the jam session beginners are great and some of the featured players would slay most musicians in other fields.

The cover charge, which seems to be the main gripe, very little to ensure the musicians get paid. People happily will pay 20 - 30 pounds to see a third rate act in the west end and then moan about the price of 2 beers to watch great musicians.

Overall, a pretty cheap and filling night out!
