Gaucho (Tower Bridge)

We were looking forward to our trip to Gaucho Grill and despite hearing bad reviews about the Tower Bridge restaurant, I tried to give it a chance. When we got to the restaurant, they didn't have the table ready. When we did, we were squashed in amongst other diners and eachtime people walked past, my chair was bashed. We ordered some wine.....and waited....and waited.....45 minutes after sitting down, we still hadn't been shown the meat board or ordered any food. Starters were tiny and overpriced but then I still had the highly reccomended steak to look forward too. What a dissappointment! I ordered a spiral cut which was supposed to be medium rare and came over cooked and hard to cut. The sides were nice but again, very small for a table of four people. The best part of the whole meal was the wine which was delicious. Our waiter was very helpful and worked hard given that it was such a busy night. Less helpful were the managers in black suits who walked around the restaurant being useless talking in to their bodyguard style head-sets trying to look important. The whole meal was incredibly expensive but the view was good. It would have been cheaper to eat at Pont de la Tour for the price we paid and the service would have been a damn sight better.
