Gourmet Garden

I had read in the local press that this restaurant had just received tha accolade of 'best restaurant in London'. So we tried it out for the first time and were certainly not disappointed. Our starter was 'hot & sour soup', one of the best we had ever had: not too salty or vinagry, but with a hint if sweetness. The main meal was 'Beef Rendang', a Malaysian dish. It was really delicious with beef that melts in your mouth and a tasty sauce. The French house red wine was not one of the best, but acceptablr. Madame Sue and her two young ladies provided excellent and fast service. The restaurant is fairly small but the tables have sufficient space between them. A warm atmosphere with subtle Malaysian music in the background. All in all an exceptionally good meal experience, and we shall certainly go again.
