Joy King Lau

On a friday night, five us of went to joy king lau restaurant for a dinner.

The food was fairly good but what surprised us was when the waiter gave us the bill. It came out to be over 60 pounds although we budgeted it to be not more than 50 pounds when we made the order. We were actually right, but we found out that the restaurant charged 6 pounds for their services and an additional 10% tax without stating them in the bill.

when we tried to clarify it, the waiter was duly unhelpful and showed unprofessional conduct. This is a disgrace to the restaurant as it would deter regular customers like us from eating in again.

Further, we were told that the chef was too busy to prepare any desserts (duh..)so we walked away without having a full course dinner.

while it is clear that there are a lot more other choices in london for chinese food, the restaurant should expect having many empty tables if they continue to serve their customers in such way.
