I've ordered from Deliverance literally dozens of times. I was generally positive about them when I wrote a review a year ago, but I have to say they are 50/50 hit and miss nowadays. For example, the tiger prawn salad was £9, but consisted of mostly a bunch of lettuce, with a tiny pot of dressing, a few pieces of goat's cheese and a half dozen medium sized prawns with the tails left on! I'm not a rabbit, but it felt like I was, getting through that (and nearly choking on the tails). Also ordered was a chicken tikka massala which wasn't bad and one of their desserts that are the same type as Gu Puds you get in Tescos, but 3 times as expensive (a bit of a high markup for puddings brought in). Their mantra of using the best ingredients is wearing a bit thin considering they're stingey with the pricier elements. I expect consistency for the prices they charge and I don't see it. Also, waiting for an hour and 20 minutes for delivery means they are again skimping on costs. Therefore I think we'll be taking our custom elsewhere in future.

Food 5 | Service 5 | Atmosphere 5 | Value for money 5
Deliverance is a good concept - choose from a variety of cuisines and have it delivered within 45 minutes, even ordering on the Internet. That's a great business model as I haven't seen too many of those setups.
I've ordered from them on a number of occasions because my wife favours Chinese food. I can't stand it, so opt for Japanese or Indian. They have always delivered on time or even sooner.
The food itself is usually quite good. However, last time the chicken in my tikka masala was a little rubbery, suggesting inferior ingredients and banoffee pie was just cream and a bit of banana in a small pot - pretty bad actually. The portion sizes are not particularly generous, but my main concern is quality. For the price I pay, I would expect improvements with some of the dishes, but generally I don't have any qualms ordering from them again. If there was a competitor, I would certainly give them a go.
