Samratt Indian Restaurant

I have lived in Putney for 13 years. I have eaten once or twice at every Indian restaurant in Putney and I simply do not believe the review the last person left for the Samrat. The reason your food probably took twenty minutes to arrive is that they were cooking it from fresh for you. Their food is consistently good. Approx 4 years ago they did start to move towards modern Indian and the portions became a little smaller, but this was rectified quite shortly afterwards. The last twice I ordered take away, we got two, cold, free beers. Which is delivered by car and is still warm. Unfortunately the restaurant is never full so the atmosphere does suffer. I would say that it is a little pricier than most of the other Indian restaurants in Putney, but it is probably the best.
