We booked this awful restaurant for a pre-Christmas get together with a group of friends - and what a shame! We were initially put off due to its connections with Anthony Worrall Thompson, but thought we'd give it a try anyway.
It really is one of the most overpriced establishments any of us has had the misfortune to dine in.
I started off with squid: tough as old boots and swimming in oil. Next came a "medium rare" rib-eye: a peice of charcoal on a plate. Couldn't face desert. The rest of the table felt the same. Upon mentioning that we were wholly dissatisfied to the waiter, no apology was offered.
Still, we had a nice time as it was great to catch up with old friends - of course none of us shall be returning, although we did have a great suggestion ... I wonder if Gordon Ramsey would like to cover this in his next series Kitchen Nightmares - over to you, Gordon!
