I was lucky enough to be invited to El Gaucho for a firm 'do' and studied the menu on the internet. it was very impressive!
When we arrived we were told we were having the set menu. This consisted of three choices for each course - no vegetarian option showing - When enquires were made I was given one option Butternut squash risotto.
So for the pricely sum of £38.00 I feasted on Tomato soup, which was ladened with olive oil and far to salty, a Plate of chips and pancakes with ice cream!
The staff were very slow, the food took ages to come to the table, although the wine arrived swiftly. They were not very accomodating for vegetarians (Iknow this is a steak restaurant, but not everybody eats meat these days). As a special treat I ordered a brandy coffe, which I watched getting cold on the bar whilst the staff looked on.
Sorry cannot highly recommend this restaurant
