Went here for my birthday dinner last week on a friend's recommendation and overall was a bit disappointed. Although the menu was very diverse and some of the dishes were good, some were also not very good at all. Two of our party asked for their steak to be medium and they were definitely well done and not very nice. The service wasn't great either - the waitress we had seemed to be confused, to say the least. Finally, at the end of the evening as we were the only remaining customers in the restaurant they turned the main lights on while we were still at the table as if to say "hurry up and go". So we left. It was only 11pm!!

I took the afternoon off work on 14th March in order to make the most of my visit to Wild Honey and it was certainly worth it. It was the most enjoyable meal I have had in a long time. The food was sublime, the atmosphere warm and inviting and the service excellent. The waiting staff were friendly and attentive and not without a sense of humour either.
My friend and I decided on the set lunch menu which is amazing value at £16.95. I started with the Potato and Nettle Soup which was delicious - who would ever think that soup could be so beautifully presented. We both had the Haddock Risotto as a main, which again was wonderful - so rich in flavour. I was then lured away from the set menu by the amazing sounding desserts on the a la carte menu and did not regret choosing the Chocolate Soup with Milk Ice Cream. When I asked the waiter about it he likened it to the melting middle of a chocolate souffle and he was absolutely right - definitely a dessert for all chocolate lovers, with the richness beautifully offset by the milk ice cream.
All in all we had the most wonderful lunch and I have already booked to take my husband there for his birthday at the end of the month.
