Betjeman’s Wine Bar and Restaurant

Betjeman's is an absolute gem. Lovely atmosphere, excellent service and fantastic food. The tomato cream soup was gorgeous and the cheesecake was simply divine. With the special offer it was extremely good value for money and they are not presumptuous enough to add their own tip unlike many restaurants. Cannot fault.

The Piccadilly

The Piccadilly is a very welcoming and cosy restaurant. On the Friday that we went they were incredibly busy and the poor waiters were rushed off their feet when we first arrived, meaning that unfortunately we had to ask to order 3 times. The food was pretty good in particular the bruscetta starter and the huge slab of tiramisu dessert. I would advise that you don't go here if you have a theatre booking to get to, but if you are catching up with friends it's a very pleasant place to be.

The Sun and Doves

This is a really lovely pub with great live jazz and some interesting artwork. It is very comfortable and relaxed, with people whiling away the hours on their laptops, making use of the free wi-fi. It is not however, a place to eat if you are a foodie. The food is basic pub grub reheated to within an inch of it's life. If you are peckish, stick to the nachos.

Waterloo Bar and Kitchen

My partner and I went here last Saturday. It’s a really nice, clean space but none of the staff seemed particularly happy to be there. The food was pretty good and we had a decent bottle of wine, but that and two courses each came to over £60 which we thought was too expensive for the type of service and food they are providing.

Incognico

We took my parents here whilst they were visiting in early July, booking the three course and champagne special. All four of us agreed that the food was delicious, with plenty of choice, even for me as a vegetarian. The staff were attentive yet unobtrusive and the atmosphere was very pleasant.

My partner and I eat out fairly frequently in London and both agree that this is easily the best place so far. We will definitely go back.
